Jamie McDemortt joined the Emory athletic department in August of 2009. His primary responsibilities include managing the equipment room for Emory's NCAA teams, the Physical Education Department, and Recreation Services.
Jamie is originally a midwesterner who calls Wisconsin home. Jamie completed his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a management emphasis at Northern Illinois University. He also earned his Master of Science at Northern Illinois in Sport Management with a business emphasis.
Jamie has extensive experience at the collegiate level with
facilities management and intramural athletic programs. Jamie
also has significant experience with outdoor adventure programs
from his years at Northern Illinois and other positions. He
completed an internship at the University of California, Los
Angeles in outdoor adventures and just prior to coming to Emory,
Jamie was working with the C5 Youth Foundation, an Atlanta based
non-profit organization.
