Erica Taylor was named assistant athletic trainer at Emory University in August 2011. Taylor returns to Atlanta after a year of employment at Upper Iowa University. She was responsible for the women’s basketball and volleyball teams of UIU during the 2010-2011 season while also serving as an Approved Clinical Instructor in Upper Iowa’s undergraduate athletic training program and an instructor in the Health, Physical Education, and Recreation department.
Taylor received her Master’s degree in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University in 2010. During her time at GSU, Taylor was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at The Westminster Schools as well as a graduate teaching assistant in GSU’s Kinesiology and Health Department. Taylor received her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Michigan State University in 2008.
During her undergraduate and graduate work, Taylor worked numerous camps, special events and NCAA tournaments. Taylor has also had to opportunity to travel with teams from the United States Soccer Federation on training trips in the US and abroad.
Taylor is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
