Emory Baseball Adds a Game against Denison at Coolray Field

The Emory University baseball team is proud to announce it will be playing Denison University at Coolray Field, home of the Atlanta Braves’ AAA affiliate in Gwinnett, on Sunday, March 21st at noon.

Tickets for the game will be general admission, and will cost $5 apiece.  The tickets will be available for purchase at the gate prior to the game.

Coolray Field opened prior to the start of the 2009 minor league season, and seats up to 10,099 fans.  The ballpark features a state-of-the-art video scoreboard, which will be in use for Sunday’s contest.  For more information on the Lawrenceville stadium, including an address and directions, click here.

This will be the second meeting this season between the Eagles and Denison University, coached by former Emory assistant Mike Clark.  On March 5th, the Eagles defeated the Big Red 18-11 at Chappell Park.  Emory currently stands at 10-8 on the year, while Denison is 4-3 with five more games on the schedule before facing the Eagles on Sunday.

Also on the schedule for the Eagles this week is a Wednesday matchup against Montclair State University.  The Red Hawks currently stand at 3-2 on the season, and will face LaGrange College on Tuesday before playing the Eagles on Wednesday at 2:30 PM at Chappell Park.
