Emory Baseball Game at Birmingham Southern Suspended; Will Be Completed on Sunday
The Emory University baseball game at sixth-ranked Birmingham
Southern College on Friday was suspended due to bad weather.
Friday's game will be completed at Chappell Park in Atlanta, GA on
Sunday at 1:00 PM, followed immediately by the previously scheduled
contest between the two teams.
The game was halted with the Eagles batting in the top of the third
inning. Sophomore Jay Page started the
inning with a double, the first hit for either team in the contest,
followed by a groundout for Scott Schwartz, before
play was stopped.
Senior Zeb Heidt started for Emory, striking out
two and walking one in two hitless innings of work.
