Emory Baseball Faces a Busy Week with Four Scheduled Games
The Emory University baseball team has a busy week in front of
them, as the Eagles are scheduled to play games against DePauw
University, the University of the South, and Edgewood College this
week.
Emory will begin the week with a 10-9 record overall, and will try
to break out of a streak where the team has dropped three of their
past four games. The Eagles are 6-5 at home this season, and
0-2 in road contests.
On Tuesday at 3:00 PM, the Eagles will host DePauw University at
Chappell Park. The Tigers currently stand at 8-7 on the
season, including a 3-5 mark in road contests, and will play a game
at LaGrange on Monday before facing Emory on Tuesday. Emory
is 10-3 all time against DePauw, including an 8-5 win at Chappell
Park last season.
On Wednesday, Emory will travel to the University of the South for
a 3:00 PM EST game. The Tigers are 6-12 this season,
including a 1-5 mark at home this season. Emory is 32-4 all
time against Sewanee, including a 12-3 win at home last season.
Emory will finish the week with a home doubleheader against
Edgewood College, starting at 1:00 PM on Friday. Edgewood
will enter the game with a 5-1 record, with all six games on
neutral territory at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN. Emory
is 5-0 all time against Edgewood, with the last meeting taking
place during the 2005 season at Chappell Park.

Emory junior Andrew Cohn has a 10-game
hitting streak, the longest by an Eagle this season… Junior
Patrick Riebsame is currently in the middle of an
eight-game hitting streak… Sophomores Kevin
O’Connor and Jonathan Reilly
currently lead all Eagles with nine multiple hit games this
season… O’Connor also leads all Emory players with
eight multiple RBI games during the campaign… The Eagles are
9-0 when leading after six innings, but 0-7 when trailing after six
frames… Emory is 9-3 in games where the opponent starts a
right-handed pitcher this season… The Eagles are 9-2 in
games where they score six or more runs.
