DePauw Tigers
DePauw is 7-11 during its 2011 campaign, including a mark of 2-7 on the road this season, and will face LaGrange College on Monday before playing the Eagles on Tuesday.  The Tigers have lost six-straight games, including three in a row to Rhodes College last weekend, each decided by two runs or less.  DePauw is batting .288 as a team this season, averaging 4.5 runs per game, while its pitching staff has held opposing hitters to a .259 batting average with a 3.81 ERA.  The Tigers are led by second-year head coach Jake Martin, who is 33-28 at the team’s helm.  He is assisted by P.J. Mitchell, Matt Pustay, and Eric Bowman.

Emory is 10-4 all time against DePauw, with all 14 games having been played at Chappell Park.  Last season, the Eagles fell to the Tigers 9-4, despite a two-for-four day at the plate from Ryan Jones.

Centre Colonels
Centre will enter the game on Wednesday with an overall record of 6-12 on the season, including a 0-2 mark in road games.  The Colonels have lost four-straight games and six of the last eight, including a three-game weekend sweep at the hands of Birmingham-Southern College last weekend.  Centre is batting .222 as a team this season, while averaging 3.4 runs scored per game, while its pitching staff has an ERA of 3.57 and an opponent’s batting average of .259.  Centre is led by head coach Mike Pritchard, who has a career ledger of 100-141 during his seven years with the squad.  He is assisted by Kyle Wynn.

Emory is 3-0 all time against Centre, with all three games having been played at Chappell Park.  The two teams last met during the 2009 season, with the Eagles defeating the Colonels 11-0 on a two-hit effort by the Emory pitching staff.  In the game, Jay Page (then a freshman) was two-for-three with a double, three RBIs, and a run scored.
