Emory Notes
Emory closer Mike Bitanga recorded a pair
of saves at the UAA Tournament, and now has five total this season
through 20 team games… The five saves are already the
eighth-most in a single season in the program’s history, and
halfway to the program record of 10, set by Keith Meizler in
2004… Junior Jonathan Reilly saw his
11-game hitting streak come to a close on Monday against Washington
University (Mo.), the season-best streak by an Eagle… The
longest current hitting streak by an Emory player belongs to
freshman Brandon Hannon, who has hit safely in
eight straight games… Senior Andrew Cohn
has driven in eight runs over his last two games, and has three
games of four RBIs this season… Emory’s one-hitter
against Brandeis on March 12th marked the fewest hits
allowed by the Eagles in a game over the last 10 years.
