Emory is led by Mike Twardoski, who is in his 15th season as a head coach, all of which have been spent at the Eagles' helm.  Twardoski has a career 416-198-1 ledger since taking over the position prior to the 2000 season, and has led the Eagles to eight UAA Championships and seven NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the World Series and a second-place finish at the 2007 NCAA Championships.  He is assisted by Associate Coach Bobby Perez and Pitching Coach Connor McGuiness, along with former major league reliever Greg McMichael.

LaGrange Panthers
The Panthers opened the season with a series against Birmingham-Southern College last weekend, losing 1-0 on Friday in Birmingham, AL, before dropping both games of a doubleheader at home on Sunday, 6-3, and 6-2.  LaGrange is coming off a 22-23 in 2013, including a 6-11 road record.  The team has a .140 batting average through their first three games of 2014, while the pitching staff has an ERA of 3.00, with an opponents' batting average of .206.

LaGrange is led by Head Coach David Kelton, who is in his first year at the team's helm after serving as an assistant coach for the past four years.  He is assisted by Matt East and Steven Brown.
