Carnegie Mellon withstood a second-round charge by Emory and
came away with first place at the 2009 UAA Golf Championships. The

and Country Club in Flowery Branch.
The Tartans shot a 305 on Tuesday to finish at 626. Emory, which
started the day in fourth position, paced the field with a
second-round 303 to close out at 629. Rochester (631), NYU (633)
and Brandeis (666) rounded out the field.
Claiming medalist honors was CMU's Christopher Lee with a fine
three-over 145 (72-73). David Wien of Rochester finished runner-up
at 148 (73-75).
Emory junior John Ross rebounded from an opening-day score of 90 to
shoot a 73, tying him with Lee for the low round of the afternoon
and the second-low effort of the tourney.
Emory had two representatives on the All-UAA first team, freshman
