Emory Golf Seventh After Opening Day Of Rhodes Invitational

Results
The No. 14-ranked Emory University golf team finds itself in
seventh place out of 20 teams after the first day of play at the
Rhodes College Invitational. The 36-hole tourney is being
played at the 7,024-yards, par-72 Tunica (MS) National Golf
Resort.
Emory fired a team score of 296 in the opening-round of
action. Sophomore Ryan Dagerman (Dalls, TX) led the Eagles'
contingent with a one-under 71 and is in the hunt for medalist
honors. Freshman Thomas Mally (Boca Raton, FL) turned in a
fine first round and checked in at one-over par 73. Sophomore
Mike Mullavey (Dunstable, MA) and senior John Ross(N.
Barrington, IL) posted scores of 75 and 77, respectively, while
senior Shane Miller (Irwin, PA) registered an 82.
Southwestern stands in first place with a mark of 283, three
strokes ahead of No. 2-ranked Huntingdon College.
Transylvania holds down third at 289 while Texas-Tyler fashioned a
score of 292.
The Rhodes Invitational concludes on Monday.
