Emory Golf Finishes Sixth At Rhodes College Invitational

Results
The No. 14-ranked Emory University golf team finished in sixth
place out of 20 teams at the Rhodes College Invitational. The
36-hole tourney was played at the 7,024-yards, par-72 Tunica (MS)
National Golf Resort.
Emory checked in with a second-day team score of 300 to finish at
596. No. 2-ranked Huntingdon College claimed the top spot
after its 295 on Monday gave it a showing of 581.
Southwestern University finished runner-up with a mark of 582 while
Oglethorpe, Transylvania and Rhodes all finished deadlocked for
third place at 590.
Emory sophomore Ryan Dagerman (Dallas, TX) spearheaded the Eagles'
effort with an even-par 144 (71-73), good for a third-place tie.
Freshman Thomas Mally completed his first collegiate
tournament with a 149 (73-76) while senior John Ross came through
with a 152 (77-75). Senior Shane Miller (82-76--158) rounded
out the team's scorers with sophomore Mike Mullavey shot a 160
(75-85).
Emory returns to action next Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 28-29) when
it plays in the Greensboro Invitational.
