Emory Golf To Compete At Chick-Fil-A College Invitational
The No. 14-ranked Emory University golf team plays in its second
tournament this fall on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 4-5) when it
competes at the Chick-Fil-A College Invitational. Hosted by
Berry College, the 36-hole event will be played on the 6,822-yard,
par-72 Coosa Country Club in Rome, Georgia.
A total of 20 teams and 120 players will be teeing it on
Monday. In addition to Emory, other squads taking part
include Oglethorpe University, Piedmont College, Southwestern, Lee
University and the University of the Cumberlands.
In Emory’s last outing, it recorded a 12th-place
finish out of 15 teams at the Golfweek Division III Fall
Invitational in Orlando, Florida. Senior Nick Szem finished
that competition as the Eagles No. 1 performer with a 54-hole score
of 221 that placed him in tie for 26th place in the
75-player field.
