The Emory golf team staved off cold and windy conditions on Saturday and played its way to a first-place finish at the Kravetz Invitational. The final 18 holes of action were conducted on the 6,723-yard, par-71 Oak Hill Country Club in Pittsford, NY.

Battling temperatures that were in the low 30s, as well as gusty winds, the Eagles shot a final day score of 308 to finish at 606.  Ohio Wesleyan finished runner-up, 14 strokes off the pace (308-312—620) while Franklin and Marshall was third with an effort of 621 (298-323). Rochester posted a score of 623 (307-316) while Adrian College (651) and Skidmore College (655) rounded out the six-team field.

Sophomore Matt Organisak paced the team's scoring effort on Saturday, checking in with a four-over par 75 that gave him a final mark of 151, good for a third-place tie in the 40-player field.  Senior Keenan Hickton was Emory's top overall performer, finishing runner-up after totaling a 77, which left him at 148. Junior Stefano Butti came through with a 76 on the final day of play, ending the Invitational tied for sixth on the leader board at 154. Junior Connor Yakubov accounted for the Eagles' final scoring slot on Saturday with an 80, with his two-day effort of 155 ranking ninth.  Freshman Eric Yiu shot 81 and closed out the Invitational with a 157.  Junior Anthony Muscato, playing as an individual, ended up tied for ninth with a score of 155 (78-77).
