Ben Wright

Joining the Emory men's basketball program as an assistant coach for the 2009-10 season is Ben Wright.

Wright was a two-year member of the basketball program at Oxford College at Emory during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons.  He then served as head manager of the Emory team in 2008-09.  

In his first year with the Eagles, Wright aided the squad to an overall record of 15-10 that included a 7-7 won-lost ledger in the University Athletic Association.  He, along with head coach Jason Zimmerman and fellow assistant Chris Murphy, were named the UAA's 2009-10 Co-Coaching Staff of the Year.

Wright has worked at several well-known basketball camps including Davidson College and the University of Syracuse.  In addition, he has been a staff member at Ernie Hobbie's Shot Doctor Camps from 2002 through 2008. 

He has coached at the club AAU level including a stint as an assistant with the Cape Fear Hurricanes U16 that reached the DI nationals, and with the Atlanta Select U9 & U10 teams in 2008.

Ben earned his bachelor's degree in History from Emory in 2009.
