Ninth-Ranked Eagles Tie with Berry in Pre-Season Tune-Up
The Emory University men's soccer team, ranked ninth in Division
III to open the 2009 season, played Berry College to a 0-0 tie on
the road in an exhibition match on Saturday.
Sophomore Trenton Spindler and freshman
Thomas Brown each played a scoreless half in goal
for Emory during the contest. The Eagles managed seven shots
in the match, with a shot-on-goal apiece from junior co-captain
Jake Graetz and junior Graham
Dekeyser.
The match was ended after regulation, with no overtime period
played in the exhibition.
Emory will open its 2009 regular season on Wednesday, September
2nd at 6:00 PM, against Southern Wesleyan College at the
Woodruff Physical Education Center.
