Ninth-Ranked Emory Looks to Bounce Back Against the University of the Ozarks

The Emory University men's soccer team will look to rebound following its season-opening loss to Southern Wesleyan University, as the Eagles will take on the University of the Ozarks on Saturday at 1:00 PM.

The match will be the second and final match of the Sonny Carter Invitational for the ninth-ranked Eagles (0-1-0), who suffered at 2-1 defeat at the hands of the NAIA's Southern Wesleyan Warriors on Wednesday night.  Junior Jake Graetz scored the Eagles' only goal in the game, with assists from Christopher Howie and Michael Scannapieco.

The University of Ozarks Eagles are 1-0-0 this season, after defeating Harding University 4-1 on Tuesday.  The Eagles went 14-3-4 last season.  This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the history of the programs.

Action at the Sonny Carter Invitational will continue later in the day, as Oglethorpe University will face Southern Wesleyan University at 3:30 PM at the Woodruff Physical Education Center.  The tournament will conclude on Sunday, as Oglethorpe University will host the University of the Ozarks on the Oglethorpe campus at 1:00 PM.
