Emory Notes
Emory head coach Sonny Travis won his
50th game as an Eagle during Emory’s 7-0 win over
Methodist University last Saturday… He became the fastest
coach in Emory history to reach the mark, doing so in just 62
games… Emory’s defense has recorded a shutout in
five-consecutive games, the longest streak since the Eagles shut
out five-straight opponents from September 11th –
25th, 2005… It is also the second longest streak
of consecutive shutout games in school history, and one shy of
matching the program record, set in 1984… Emory defender
Nathan McKeever was named the UAA Athlete of the
Week for his performance as part of the Eagles’ backfield
last weekend in Fayetteville.
