Senior Michael Carragher was named the University Athletic Association Men's Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. It is the first weekly honor for the Glencoe, IL native in his career.
Carragher led the Eagles past Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday night in the Sweet 16, scoring the first goal of the game and added an assist two minutes later as Emory downed UMHB, 2-1, to advance to the Elite 8 for the second time in program history. In the NCAA Quarterfinals against Chicago, Carragher netted Emory's lone goal in 110 minutes of action and successfully converted on his lone attempt during the penalty kick shootout.
The Eagles finished their season with a 15-5-2 overall record with the 15 wins representing the second-highest total by an Emory sqaud in a single season.
