Swam on the Gettysburg Area High School team for four seasons, serving as the squad's captain during his junior and senior years... Recorded times of 2:09.16 in the 200 Breast and 1:00.02 in the 100 Breast in high school... Was a Junior National qualifier, and a YMCA all-American and finalist in the 200 Breast... Coached by Amanda Turner and Mike Gobrecht.

Born September 28, 1990... Was his class salutatorian, student council president, and an AP Scholar in high school... His brother, Bryan, runs cross country and track and field at Shippensburg University.
