Emory Swimming & Diving Heads to UNC Wilmington for Its First Road Meet of the Season

The Emory University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to face the University of North Carolina Wilmington on Saturday.  The Emory women will also be facing the University of Houston at Saturday's meet.

Saturday's contest is scheduled for a 10:30 AM start at the Seahawk Natatorium.

Both the Emory men and women are 1-0 this season, after winning their season-opening meets against Davidson College last weekend.  The UNC Wilmington men and women are both 2-1, while the University of Houston women are 2-0 this season, and will face Duke University and Georgia Tech on Friday.

The Emory men are 1-12 all time against UNC Wilmington, including a narrow 153-144 loss at the Woodruff P.E. Center last season.  The women are 4-9 all time against UNC Wilmington, including a 152-148 loss last season, and have never faced Houston before.

Emory Notes:
Emory's seniors John Petroff and Lillian Ciardelli were each named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athletes of the Week for their performances against Davidson College... 10 different Emory women recorded ‘B' cut times in 14 individual events at last weekend's meet, while two Emory men recorded a pair of provisional times... The Emory women's team also had two relays (200 free and 200 medley) record provisional times.
