Emory Swimming & Diving Heads to UNC Wilmington for Its First Road Meet of the Season
The Emory University men's and women's swimming and diving teams
will hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to face
the University of North Carolina Wilmington on Saturday. The
Emory women will also be facing the University of Houston at
Saturday's meet.
Saturday's contest is scheduled for a 10:30 AM start at the
Seahawk Natatorium.
Both the Emory men and women are 1-0 this season, after winning
their season-opening meets against Davidson College last
weekend. The UNC Wilmington men and women are both 2-1, while
the University of Houston women are 2-0 this season, and will face
Duke University and Georgia Tech on Friday.
The Emory men are 1-12 all time against UNC Wilmington, including a
narrow 153-144 loss at the Woodruff P.E. Center last season.
The women are 4-9 all time against UNC Wilmington, including a
152-148 loss last season, and have never faced Houston before.

Emory's seniors John Petroff and
Lillian Ciardelli were each named University
Athletic Association (UAA) Athletes of the Week for their
performances against Davidson College... 10 different Emory women
recorded ‘B' cut times in 14 individual events at last
weekend's meet, while two Emory men recorded a pair of provisional
times... The Emory women's team also had two relays (200 free and
200 medley) record provisional times.
