Patrick Augustyn

Emory University senior Patrick Augustyn registered a pair of NCAA ‘B’ cut times during the third-ranked Eagles’ dual meet against Division I Georgia Tech on Saturday.  Augustyn finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:51.89, good for an NCAA ‘B’ cut.  He also recorded a NCAA ‘B’ mark in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing third with a time of 50.08 seconds.  The senior swam on both of the Eagles’ relays as well, helping the 200-yard medley ‘B’ relay team to a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:36.62 and the 200-yard freestyle ‘C’ relay to a sixth-place finish with a time of 1:27.58.  Despite Augustyn’s strong performance, the Eagles fell to the Yellow Jackets 177 – 118.
