Emory Men's Tennis Tops Kenyon -- Claims Third Place at ITA National Indoor Championships

The No. 2-ranked Emory University men's tennis team topped No. 6 Kenyon College on Sunday afternoon to bring home third place at the ITA National Indoor Championships.  The three-day event was hosted by Gustavus Adolphus.

The Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play with sophomores Chris Goodwin and Dillon Pottish getting the squad off on the right foot with an 8-4 triumph over Mike Greenberg and Will VandenBerg.

Goodwin's three-set win over Tomas Piskacek, 6-0, 1-6, 6-0, at No. 2 singles boosted Emory's lead in to 4-0, and Pottish eventually sealed the outcome with a 6-1, 6-4, decision over Greenberg at No. 1 singles.

Emory returns to action on Feb. 25 when it hosts AUM at 2:00 p.m.
