Emory Men's Tennis Tops Kenyon -- Claims Third Place at ITA National Indoor Championships
The No. 2-ranked Emory University men's tennis team topped No. 6
Kenyon College on Sunday afternoon to bring home third place at the
ITA National Indoor Championships. The three-day event was
hosted by Gustavus Adolphus.
The Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play with
sophomores Chris Goodwin and Dillon Pottish getting the squad off
on the right foot with an 8-4 triumph over Mike Greenberg and Will
VandenBerg.
Goodwin's three-set win over Tomas Piskacek, 6-0, 1-6, 6-0, at No.
2 singles boosted Emory's lead in to 4-0, and Pottish eventually
sealed the outcome with a 6-1, 6-4, decision over Greenberg at No.
1 singles.
Emory returns to action on Feb. 25 when it hosts AUM at 2:00
p.m.
