Emory Men's Tennis Hosts Pair Of Ranked Division III Foes
The No. 3-ranked Emory University men's tennis team resumes
action this week when it hosts a pair nationally ranked Division
III foes. On Wednesday the Eagles welcome No. 6-ranked Kenyon
to the Woodruff PE Center for a 2:30 p.m. match before hosting No.
11-ranked DePauw on Saturday beginning at 3:00 p.m.
The Eagles of head coach John Browning head into the week with a
dual mark of 3-4. Emory posted a 1-2 effort during its spring
break trip to Florida last week, coming out on the short end of
matches against Division II powers Barry (#2 ranked) and Lynn
University (#4 ranked ) while notching an impressive win over
Division I member Georgetown University.
Emory defeated both DePauw and Kenyon less than a month ago at the
National Indoor Championships in Saint Peter, Minnesota, by 6-3 and
5-4 margins, respectively.
Kenyon will meet Emory with an overall record of 7-4 while DePauw
takes a 4-5 mark into a March 16 match vs. Vincennes College.
