Emory's Dillon Pottish Wins D-III Singles Title At ITA Small College Championships

Emory junior Dillon Pottish etched himself into the lore of Emory men’s tennis Saturday afternoon by becoming the first player in school history to win the Division III singles title at the ITA Small College Championships.  The Championships were held in Mobile, Alabama.

Pottish, the No. 1 seed, topped unseeded Felix Sun of Williams College, 7-5, 6-1, in the battle for the crown, and became the first Eagle to take home the championship since the ITA Small College Championships began in 1986.

The win over Sun propelled Pottish into the Super Bowl portion of the Championships where he met Emanuel Fraitzl  of Division II member Barry University.  In that match, Fraitzl topped Pottish, 7-5, 6-4.
