Emory Men's Tennis To Send Four Players To NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships
The Emory men's tennis program will send a total of four players
to compete in the singles and doubles competition at the 2011 NCAA
Division III Championships.
Juniors Dillon Pottish and Chris
Goodwin, along with senior Colin Egan,
will compete in the singles championship while Goodwin and junior
Will Humphreys will take to the court in doubles. It marks the
second straight singles appearance for both Goodwin and
Pottish while Egan and Humphreys will be making their
first to nationals. Last year, Goodwin advanced to the
singles championship match.
The individual championships consist of 32 singles players and 16
doubles teams. The selection of teams and individuals for the
championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule and
eligibility and availability of student-athletes.
The team championship will be held May 24-26, and the singles
and doubles championships will be held May 27-29. The finals will
be held at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer
Colleges.
