Junior Ian Wagner turned in a perfect 4-0 record in singles play last week as the No. 7-ranked Eagles captured two of four matches.

Wagner captured all four of his matches at No. 5 singles and went 2-2 at No. 1 doubles as the Eagles ventured to California for four matches.

In a match against Azusa Pacific, the No. 11-ranked team in Division II, Wagner recorded a 6-2, 6-4 triumph over Tomas Aranguiz in singles action before joining up with classmate Alex Ruderman for an 8-5 triumph over Jan Meyer & Pascal Engel.

Wagner continued his winning ways with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 come-from-behind verdict over Brad Entwistle in aiding in Emory's 8-1 win over Gustavus Adolphus at the Stag-Hen Invitational in Claremont, California.  In the team's next outing, vs. No. 1-ranked Washington University, Wagner accounted for one of the team's three points with a 6-2, 6-1 outcome over Tyler Krakty. Wagner then capped off a perfect week of singles with a 7-5, 7-5 decision against Kyle Wolstencroft of Bowdoin College, while teaming with Ruderman for a doubles victory as the Eagles prevailed by an 8-1 count.

Wagner stands 11-1 in singles play this spring, 9-0 at the No. 5 position.
