Freshman Antonio Mora turned in a perfect record in both singles and doubles in helping the Emory men's tennis team to a 3-0 record.
Two of Mora's singles victories came at the No. 3 spot, a 6-4, 6-2, decision over Bryce McClanahan of DePauw University and a 6-2, 6-1, verdict vs. Scott Thygesen of Johns Hopkins. The Eagles defeated DePauw, 9-0, and No. 25 JHU, 8-1.
Playing third doubles in all three matches, he and Hayden Cassone teamed up for an 8-2 triumph over the Kalamazoo College duo of Casey Johnson and Allen Vinson. The Mora/Cassone tandem were impressive in the Johns Hopkins encounter, manufacturing an 8-3 outcome vs. Vishnu Joshi and Vik Vasan. In between those two matches, Mora and Alec Rabinowitz chalked up an 8-1 victory over DePauw's Alex Bertolini and Will Sultan.
So far this year, Mora has a 16-3 overall slate in doubles and 14-3 in singles.
