At Emory:
Member of the 2006 Emory cross country team and qualified as an at-large entry to the NCAA Championships ... Emory's top runner at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional (Nov. 11), posting a fourth-place finish out of 152 runners with a time of 26:11.2 over the 8K course ... Was the Eagles' top finisher at the UAA Championships, placing 25th in the 78-runner field with an 8K mark of 26:32.16 ... Was named as UAA Rookie of the Year.
Prior to Emory:
Earned three varsity letters in track and field at Anderson High School where Andy Wolf was his coach ... Best 1600-meters time was 4:25 and his best mark in the 5K was 16:08 ... Also competed in the 3000 steeplechase where his best effort was a 10:11 ... Was selected as the MVP of the track team his senior season ... MVP of the cross team in 2005 ... Also played on the soccer team.
