Eagles Head to South Carolina for the Clemson Games
The Emory University track and field team will be back in action
this weekend, traveling to Clemson, SC to take part in the Clemson
Games from Friday, January 29th through Saturday,
January 30th.
Emory will no longer be sending its multi-event athletes
to the Captains' Invitational at Christopher Newport University, as
originally scheduled for this weekend.
The Clemson Games will be held at Clemson University's Indoor Track
& Field Complex, which features a six-lane, 200-meter flat
track. This is the second of four meets at the Clemson that
Emory will be taking part in during the indoor season.
The Eagles will be sending 24 women to compete in 15 different
events, while the men will have 29 athletes competing in 15
events.
The meet will start at 11:00 AM on Friday for the Eagles' two
heptathlon competitors, senior Stephen Beehler and
junior Brad Pruente. The rest of the events
will start at 5:00 PM on Friday, and then continue with the field
events at 12:00 PM on Saturday, and the track events at 2:00 PM.
