Emory Track & Fields Hain Inducted into Honor Society
Track and field team member Fritz Hain was
inducted into the Emory College chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honor
society, based on his scholarship, breadth of culture, and general
promise during his time at Emory.
Hain, a senior, has competed in the sprints and hurdles for the
Eagles during his three-year Emory career. In just one meet
this season, the Roaring Tiger Opener, he has already recorded a
career-best time of 8.60 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.
In the classroom, Hain has compiled a cumulative grade point
average of 3.951, including a 3.929 GPA last semester, while
majoring in Economics and Chinese.
Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor
society, and currently has over half a million members at 280
colleges and universities across the nation. Hain was one of
73 students and 51 faculty members that were inducted to the Emory
chapter on December 7th.
