Emory Track & Field to Compete at Friday’s Cardinal Opener
The Emory University track and field team will head to
Naperville, IL on Friday, January 21st to compete at the
North Central College Cardinal Opener, starting at 5:00 PM.
This will be the third meet of the indoor track season for the
Eagles, following their performance at the Appalachian State Open
last weekend.

Included in the current schedule of running events for the meet are
the distance medley relay, the 60-meter hurdles, the 60-meter dash,
the 3,000-meter run, the mile run, the 400-meter dash, the
800-meter run, the 200-meter dash, the 5,000-meter run and the
4x400-meter relay. The list of field events slated to be
contested include the weight throw, the shot put, the pole vault,
the long jump, the triple jump and the high jump.
The meet will be held on the Al B. Carius Track on the North
Central College Campus. The venue features a six-lane,
200-meter track, three pole vault runways and two long/triple jump
