among Emory's top-five performers on three occasions ... Top 8k
time was a 27:02 at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional
Championships which was fifth on the squad and 53rd overall
out of 156 runners ... No. 2 on the team and crossed the finish
line in eighth place out of 104 runners at the season-opening
Sewanee Invitational with an effort of 27:24 ... No. 5 Emory
finisher at the JSU Foothills Invitational ... Also took part in
the Greater Louisville Classic (27:30) and UAA Championships
(28:24).
High School:
Fine cross country and track performer at Walter Johnson High
School ... Was coached by Tom Martin ... Helped his team to a
pair of cross country state championships in 2008 and 2009 ... Was
a Washington Post All-Metro Second Team pick his final
year and also garnered all-county honors ... Team captain his
senior year.
