personal-best 8K time of 27:12 at the Royal Cross Country Challenge

Sophomore (2009):
Ran in four meets ... Ran a career-best 8K time
of 28:16 at the Foothills Invitational (Oct. 10) ... Also
competed at the Sewanee Invitational (Sept. 5), UGA Invitational
(Sept. 19) and Quaker Invitational (Oct. 17).
Freshman (2008):
Competed in the Sewanee Invitational (Sept. 6), the Auburn
Invitational (Oct. 4) and the Front Runner Invitational (Oct. 18).
Prior to Emory: Ran four years of cross country and track
at Park Tudor High School ... Was coached by Mike Penington ...
Served as captain of the cross country and the track and field
teams as a senior ... During his final season of competition, he
recorded his personal best in the 5K (17:03) ... Three time
all-conference selection in cross country ... 2007 conference champ
in cross country ... Helped his team to a pair of cross country
conference titles ... Best time in the mile was 4:38 ... Graduated
with high honors ... Also played basketball
