Emory Men's Cross Country Competes At Greater Louisville Classic

The Emory University men's cross country team competed at the
Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday and posted a
24th-place finish out of 34 squads.
The Eagles registered 554 points. Taking home first place was
Marshall University with 131 points. Bentley
University’s 135 points was good for runner-up honors while
Grand Valley State University held down the No. 3 spot with 175
points.
Sophomore Stephen Ellwood was Emory’s top runner with his 8k
time of 26:27 placing him 86th out of 328 runners.
Junior Geraint Davies was the No. 2 Eagle, checking in with a mark
of 26:42 that ranked him 110th. Junior Tim
Halinski (26:45, 117th), freshman Hank Ashforth (26:52,
132nd) and senior Jon Usry (27:18, 175th)
rounded out the team’s scorers.
Emory returns to action next Saturday (Oct. 9) when it competes at
the JSU Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Alabama.
