The women's side is coming off a second-place finish at the NCAA South/Southeast Region Championships last weekend in Newport News, Virginia, trailing first-place finisher Trinity (Tex.) by just three points. Senior Gabrielle Stravach crossed the finish line in the No. 1 position out of 240 entries, clocking a school-record 6K time of 20:59.
The men's squad holds down the No. 29 position in the USTFCCCA Poll and captured an at-large bid to nationals after a third-place effort at Regionals. Senior Shane Sullivan was the top Emory performer, finishing eighth overall out of 222 runners with a personal-best 8K time of 24:37, which ranks as the program's fourth-fastest mark.
