Emory Softball Tops Neumann In NCAA Action
Emory senior Kim Bandy socked a pair of home runs and totaled
four RBIs while freshman Jessica Thomas hit a solo blast to spark
Emory to a 6-0 win over Neumann College on Friday afternoon in NCAA
Regional action in Salisbury, MD.
Bandy went 3-for-4 at the plate while Thomas, senior Liz White and
junior Cassie Walsh all chipped in with two hits apiece as Emory
totaled 13 safeties in the contest.
Freshman Bridget Holloway notched her 10th win in 11 decisions as
she tossed the opening three innings, allowing four hits and
striking out four.
The win raised Emory's record to 2-0 in regional play and to 32-10
overall. The Eagles will play on Saturday against either Lynchburg
or Bridgewater at 2:00 p.m..
