Emory's Hannah Lilly Captures All-Region Basketball Honors
Emory University freshman Hannah Lilly (Mercer
Island, WA), a key member on the Eagles’ 2010-11
women’s basketball squad, has been recognized for her fine
play this season, earning all-region honors.
The 5-foot-8 shooting guard landed a berth on D3hoops.com All-South
Region Second Team and was selected as the Region Rookie of the
Year.
Lilly saw action in all 25 Emory contests, 22 as a starter, and
concluded the year with a team-high 11.6 per-game scoring average,
good for 11th place among University Athletic
Association players. She knocked down a team-high 41
three-point field goals, tied for sixth place on the school’s
seasonal chart, and her 1.6 treys per game ranked eighth in the
conference. A double-figure scorer in 14 games, she either
led or shared for team scoring honors on seven occasions. She
recorded a pair of 22-point games (vs. Piedmont on Dec. 4 and
Sewanee on Nov. 19) that represented the high-water marks by and
Emory player during the year.
Lilly also garnered All-UAA Second Team acclaim and was tabbed as
the league’s Rookie of the Year.
