Emory Women’s Soccer to Play Three at the Agnes Scott Challenge

The Emory University women's soccer team will begin a five-game road trip this weekend, starting with games at cross-town Agnes Scott College for the Agnes Scott Challenge on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. 

The Eagles will open the week against Agnes Scott College on Wednesday at 5:00 PM.  Emory will then play Transylvania University at 1:00 PM on Saturday, and Millsaps College at 2:00 PM on Sunday.

Emory will begin the week with a 0-1-2 record, following ties against Maryville College and Illinois Wesleyan University this past weekend.  The Eagles are 0-1-0 in matches away from the Woodruff P.E. Center this season.

Agnes Scott has opened its campaign with a 1-2-0 record, including a 1-0-0 mark at home.  Emory is 12-0 all-time against the Scotties, including a 5-0 win last season.  The Eagles' Shayna Bryan has scored three goals in two career matches against Agnes Scott, while Talia Dweck, Lauren Smith and Meghan McMahon each have one career score against the Scotties. 

Transylvania will enter Saturday's match with a 2-1-0 record this season, including a 2-0-0 mark in neutral matches.  This will be the first meeting between the two squads.

Millsaps begins the week with a 2-0-0, including a road victory.  The Eagles are 6-0-0 all-time against the Majors, with their last meeting resulting in a 4-0 Emory win on August 31st, 2003.
