Emory Women's Soccer Match vs. Oglethorpe Postponed Again
The Emory University women's soccer team and Oglethorpe
University were unable to continue their match on Thursday, as bad
weather remained in the Atlanta area. The match will be
continued at a time and date to be determined later.
The match was halted with 30:52 left in the second
half and the Eagles leading 4-0 over the Stormy Petrels.
Emory junior Melanie Levy and freshman
Merrill Bachouros each have scored two goals in
the contest so far.
Action at Oglethorpe had to be stopped due to lightning and heavy
rain in the Atlanta area on Wednesday. The match was
scheduled to be concluded on Thursday, but with heavy rains
overnight on Wednesday and throughout the day on Thursday forced
another postponement of the match.
A complete recap and box score will be available after the
completion of the match.
Emory will be back in action on Friday, as the Eagles will travel
to Birmingham Southern College for a 7:00 PM start.
