#17 Emory Womens Soccer to Wrap-Up Home Stand against Agnes Scott
The 17th-ranked Emory University women’s soccer
team will conclude its three-game home stand with a Wednesday night
matchup against cross-town opponent Agnes Scott College at the
Woodruff P.E. Center at 8:00 PM.

Emory University Eagles
Emory currently stands at 6-0-1 on the season, including a
3-0-0 record at home. The Eagles are coming off a pair of
shutout victories this past weekend, defeating Birmingham-Southern
College 3-0 on Friday and Rhodes College 2-0 on Sunday. In
the latest NSCAA poll, Emory is ranked 17th in the
nation and third in the South Atlantic Region. The Eagles are
led by head coach Sue Patberg, who is 68-19-13
with Emory.
Agnes Scott College Scotties
Agnes Scott will enter Wednesday’s contest with an
overall record of 2-5-0, and a 1-3-0 record on the road. Most
recently, the Scotties suffered a 7-0 loss to Birmingham-Southern
on Sunday in Birmingham. Agnes Scott is led by head coach Joe
Bergin, who is in his eighth year with the squad.
Last Meeting
The Eagles bested Agnes Scott 3-0 on the road last season,
helped by goals from Meghan McMahon and
Lee Bachouros. Emory goalkeeper
Erica Stein earned the win last season, getting
her first career victory and complete-game shutout in the
process.

Emory University’s Lee Bachouros was named the Defensive
Athlete of the Week for the University Athletic Association (UAA),
based on her performance during Emory’s two games last
weekend… The Eagles have allowed two shots on goal or less
in three of seven games this season… Emory is yet to allow
more than one goal in a game this season… Eight different
Eagles have scored at least one goal for the team this season, and
five different Eagles have scored at least one game-winning
goal.
