#13 Emory Looks to Rebound against Oglethorpe
The 13th-ranked Emory University women’s soccer
team will look to bounce back from its first loss of the season, as
the Eagles will host non-conference opponent Oglethorpe University
at 5:00 PM on Tuesday.

Emory University Eagles
Emory will enter Tuesday’s contest with an 8-1-2 record
this season, including a 4-1-0 record at home this season.
The Eagles are coming off their first loss of the season, after
dropping a 1-0 decision to the University of Chicago on
Saturday. Emory is led by head coach Sue
Patberg, who is 70-20-14 during her six seasons with
Emory.
Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels
Oglethorpe currently stands at 7-4-1 this season, including a
3-3-0 record on the road. The Stormy Petrels are coming off a
5-1 loss at the University of the South on Saturday, and are 1-4-1
over their last six games. Oglethorpe is led by head coach
Alan Woods.
Last Meeting
Last season, Emory won 1-0 at Oglethorpe University on an
unassisted goal by Melanie Levy early in the
second half of the game. Goalkeeper Erica
Stein earned the shutout in the game, while the Emory
defense allowed just five shots, none of which were on goal.
Levy has two career goals against Oglethorpe.

Emory has not lost a regular season non-conference home game
since October 15th, 2000, when the squad fell to NC
Wesleyan at the Woodruff P.E. Center… The streak now
comprises almost 10 years and 50 games… Emory has outscored
its opponents 23-6 this season… The Eagles have outshot
opponents 199-90, including a 90-45 advantage in shots on
goal… Emory also has a 74-33 advantage in corner kicks this
season.
