Fourth-Ranked Emory to Open UAA Schedule at #20 Chicago

The Emory University women's soccer will put their undefeated record to the test this weekend, as the fourth-ranked Eagles will open their University Athletic Association (UAA) schedule at the 20th-ranked University of Chicago on Saturday at 2:30 PM ET.

Emory Eagles
The Eagles, ranked fourth in the latest NSCAA Division III poll, sixth in the D3Soccer.com poll, and first in the Atlantic South Region, improved to 8-0-1 on the season with a 6-0 win over Agnes Scott College on Wednesday night.  Emory is 4-0-1 in true road games this season, and 5-0-1 in games away from the Woodruff Physical Education Center in 2011.  The Eagles are led by seventh-year head coach Sue Patberg, who is 86-21-17 with Emory, and 232-109-35 for her 19-year career.

Chicago Maroons
At 5-3-0 thus far in its 2011 campaign, the Maroons will enter conference play ranked 20th in the latest NSCAA Division III poll, 22nd in the D3Soccer.com poll, and fourth in the Central Region.  Chicago is 3-2-0 in home games this season, following its 2-1 loss to third-ranked Wheaton College at home on Tuesday night.  The Maroons feature Meghan Derken, who is ranked 27th among Division III players with 0.67 assists per game, Allison Hegel, who ranks 148th with 0.714 goals per game, and Emma Gormley, who began the week ranked  86th among Division III keepers in goals against average and 148th in save percentage.  Chicago is led by 21st-year head coach Amy Reifert, who is 258-98-40 during her career.

Emory is 14-9-2 all time against the Maroons, including a 6-5-2 record in games played in Chicago.  Last season in Atlanta, Chicago came away with a 1-0 win after scoring the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute of play.  Junior goalkeeper Erica Stein played a scoreless first half in the game, making a pair of saves.
