    The Emory University Women’s Soccer program has announced the early decision commitments that will join the team for the fall later this calendar year. Included in the group are Lily Dresner, Jordan Fitzgerald, Samantha Hilsee, Caroline Moore, Anne Otterbein, Katie Taylor, Yasmin Toy and Kelly Walsh.

    Six student-athletes from the Emory University Women’s Soccer team were named to the All-University Athletic Association as announced by the league office on Monday morning. Senior Hannah Meyer and freshman Shivani Beall earned First Team honors with senior Cristina Ramirez, junior Anna Gurney, sophomore Danielle Darius and freshman Caroline Kolski being tabbed as Honorable Mentions.

With the tie, the Eagles slip to fifth place in the UAA standings at 2-2-1, a game and half back of first place Chicago (4-1) with two games remaining in UAA action.

On Friday, the Eagles will travel to Waltham, MA to square off against #17 Brandeis University at 5:00 pm before heading to Riverdale, NY on Sunday to face New York University at 11:00 am.
  • Patberg Notches Win #300 as Emory Dominates Brevard College, 5-0

    The Emory University Women’s Soccer team dominated Division II Brevard College Tuesday night at the Woodruff Physical Education Center, defeating the Tornados 5-0 to give Head Coach Sue Patberg win No. 300 in her career. Patberg, who is in her 23rd season as a head coach now stands at 300-129-54 overall and is 154-42-36 in her 12 seasons guiding the Eagles. She becomes the 56th head coach in NCAA Women’s Soccer history to reach that milestone.

  • Cristina Ramirez Tabbed as UAA Offensive Player of the Week

    Senior Cristina Ramirez of the Emory University Women’s Soccer team has been tabbed as the University Athletic Association Offensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is first UAA honor for Ramirez in her career and the second weekly honor the Eagles have received this season.

    The Emory University Women’s Soccer team dropped a heartbreaker on Sunday afternoon, falling to 19th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University 2-1 in overtime at the Woodruff PE Center. The Eagles fall to 2-2 in UAA play, sitting one game behind first place Carnegie Mellon and University of Chicago, now both at 3-1 in the conference after Sunday.

    Senior Cristina Ramirez scored twice and added an assist to lead the Emory University Women’s Soccer team to a bounce back win, defeating Case Western Reserve University by a score of 4-0 on Friday evening at the Woodruff PE Center. With the victory, the Eagles improved to 2-1 in UAA action and 8-4 overall while the Spartans fell to 5-5-3 on the season and 0-2-1 in conference play.
  • Women's Soccer to Host Key UAA Weekend; Senior Day Set for Sunday

    The Emory University Women’s Soccer team returns home to face off against University Athletic Association opponents Case Western Reserve University and Carnegie Mellon University. Kickoff is set for 5:00 pm against the Spartans on Friday evening followed by an 11:00 AM start time against the Tartans on Sunday. Prior to start of the game on Sunday morning, the Eagles will have a special pregame ceremony to honor their two seniors – Cristina Ramirez and Hannah Meyer.

With the defeat, Emory drops to 7-4 overall and 1-1 in UAA play while the Bears improve to 9-2-1 and 1-1 in conference action.

    Sophomore Nikki Batt of the Emory University Women’s Soccer team has been named the University Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Defender of the Week as announced by the Association on Monday afternoon. This is the first career Athlete of the Week honor for Batt and the first AOW award for the Eagles this season.

    The Emory University Women’s Soccer team began the University Athletic Association portion of their schedule on a strong note Saturday afternoon, blanking 4th-ranked University of Chicago 2-0 at the Woodruff PE Center. The Eagles have now won four consecutive contests to improve to 6-3 on the year while the loss was the first suffered by the Maroons this season as they fall to 9-1-0.

The game is set to get underway at 11:00 am.
  • Emory Women's Soccer Game Wednesday Night at Maryville has been Postponed

    The Emory University Women’s Soccer game Wednesday night at Maryville College has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict. The Scots were originally slated to play Covenant College on Tuesday night but that match has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening due to inclement weather in the area on Tuesday. There has been no makeup date scheduled at this time between Emory and Maryville.

The Eagles have now won three straight to run their record to 5-3 on the year while the loss was the first of the season for the Colonels as they drop to 8-1-2.

    Sophomore Danielle Darius scored just 1:13 into the first overtime period to give the Emory University Women’s Soccer team a 3-2 victory over the Berry College Vikings on Wednesday night at the Woodruff PE Center. With the win, the Eagles improved to 4-3 on the year with the Vikings dropping to 4-3 with the loss.
  • Women's Soccer Set for Home Opener against Berry College

    The Emory University Women’s Soccer team is set to make their 2016 debut at the Woodruff PE Center after the team played its first six contests away from campus. On Wednesday night, the Eagles welcome Berry College to campus for a non-conference matchup with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 pm.
