Emory University junior Dani Staffin of the women's soccer program was named the University Athletic Association Defender of the Week, announced Monday afternoon.
Staffin posted four saves, her second-highest total of the year, as the Eagles blanked Roanoke College 2-0 on Saturday. Staffin improved to 5-2-1 overall with the win while the shutout was her fourth of the season.
Emory returns to play Monday night taking on Covenant College in the final non-conference match of the season. Game time from Lookout Mountain, GA is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
