Emory Divers Compete at Georgia Tech Invitational

Emory University was represented by its divers at the Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend, giving the squad a chance to face off against some of the top NCAA Division I competitors.

In the men’s one-meter dive, sophomore Kolin Smialek paced the Eagles with a score of 213.95 to finish 21^st overall.  Also competing in the event for Emory were junior Daniel Kolb (24^th place, 208.10), freshman Sam Bobo (29^th place, 167.15), junior Patrick Brady (30^th place, 153.80 points) and sophomore Ben Lee (31^st place, 135.40).  In the three-meter dive, Kolb was Emory’s top finisher, placing 19^th with a score of 257.60, while Bobo finished 28^th with a score of 159.90.

On the women’s side, freshman Sarah Greene was Emory’s top finisher in both dives, coming in 27^th in the three-meter dive with a score of 201.40 and 28^th in the one-meter dive with a score of 196.40.  Also placing for the Emory women was freshman Annabel Enquist, who came in 32^nd in the three-meter dive (179.55 points) and 35^th in the one-meter dive (165.35 points).

Emory’s swimmers will return to action for their final meet of the 2010 calendar year on Thursday, December 2^nd, as the Eagles will head to Oxford, OH for the Miami University Invitational.
