Emory Womens Tennis to Compete at the ITA Indoor Nationals this Weekend

The Emory University women's tennis team will head to Greencastle,
IN for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III
Women's Team Indoor Championships on Friday, Saturday and
Sunday.
The nationally third-ranked Eagles, who are the top-seeded team in
the tournament, will open up on Friday at 11:30 AM against
13th-ranked and eighth-seeded Gustavus Adolphus
College. Emory's second round match will be against either
sixth-ranked (and fourth seeded) Carnegie Mellon University, or
eighth-ranked (and fifth-seeded) Denison University on
Saturday.
Other teams participating this weekend include the fourth-ranked
University of Chicago (second seed), fifth-ranked Washington and
Lee University (third-seed), 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins
University (sixth seed), and 11thranked DePauw
University (seventh seed).
The second-annual tournament will be hosted by DePauw
University. Last season, the Eagles finished second to
Carnegie Mellon University, falling 6-3 in the championship match
after besting DePauw and the University of Mary Washington in the
first two rounds.
