Emory Ranked Third in the Campbells/ ITA Division III Womens Tennis Poll
Emory University will enter the 2010 spring season ranked third in the Nation and first in the Atlantic South Region, according to the Campbell's/ Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's Tennis Preseason Poll.
The ranking matches Emory's third-place finish at the 2009 NCAA
Division III Championships. The Eagles return all six of
their singles players and all three of their doubles teams from
last season's squad.
Individually, reigning Division III National Champion, junior
Lorne McManigle, is ranked second among the
Atlantic South region's singles players, while sophomore
Zahra Dawson is ranked third. Also ranked in
the inaugural regional singles poll of the season are freshman
Jordan Wylie (sixth), junior Lindsay
Reidenbach (eighth) and senior Tshema
Nash (14th).
In the Atlantic South doubles rankings, McManigle and Dawson will
enter the season ranked second, while senior Sara
Vrabec and Reidenbach are the fourth-ranked squad, and
Nash and freshman Amanda Wikman are ranked
12th.
Emory will open its 2010 spring season on February 14th
at Clayton State University.
