Emory Ranked Third in the Campbell’s/ ITA Division III Women’s Tennis Poll

Emory University will enter the 2010 spring season ranked third in the Nation and first in the Atlantic South Region, according to the Campbell's/ Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's Tennis Preseason Poll.

The ranking matches Emory's third-place finish at the 2009 NCAA Division III Championships.  The Eagles return all six of their singles players and all three of their doubles teams from last season's squad.

Individually, reigning Division III National Champion, junior Lorne McManigle, is ranked second among the Atlantic South region's singles players, while sophomore Zahra Dawson is ranked third.  Also ranked in the inaugural regional singles poll of the season are freshman Jordan Wylie (sixth), junior Lindsay Reidenbach (eighth) and senior Tshema Nash (14th).

In the Atlantic South doubles rankings, McManigle and Dawson will enter the season ranked second, while senior Sara Vrabec and Reidenbach are the fourth-ranked squad, and Nash and freshman Amanda Wikman are ranked 12th.

Emory will open its 2010 spring season on February 14th at Clayton State University.
