Vincent Named Atlantic South Region Assistant Coach of the Year

For the second-consecutive season, Emory University assistant women’s tennis coach Meredith Vincent was named the Assistant Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Vincent has helped the fourth-ranked Eagles reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships for the third-consecutive year, and to an overall record of 20-5 this season.  Earlier in the season, with head coach Amy Bryant away on maternity leave, Vincent led the Eagles to a team win at the ITA National Indoor Tournament.  Vincent also helped Emory players win both the singles and doubles brackets at the Wilson/ ITA South Region Championships.

During her four-year career as an assistant at Emory, she has seen the Eagles advance to the NCAA Tournament four times, win three conference championships, and earn 15 all-America honors and 33 all-UAA honors.

Vincent and the Eagles will continue their quest for a national championship next week, as the Eagles will face fifth-seeded Denison University in the NCAA Quarterfinals on May 25th in Fredricksburg, VA.
