Emory Womens Tennis to Open 2010 Fall Season this Weekend
The Emory University women’s tennis team, which finished
second in the nation in 2010, will open up its fall season this
weekend, heading to Montgomery, AL to take part in the Blue &
Gray Tournament from Friday, September 17th –
19th.
The tournament will provide Emory head coach Amy
Bryant an earlier-than-usual look at her squad, before the
ITA Fall Regionals. Emory will have eight competitors in the
singles and doubles brackets this weekend, including seniors
Lorne McManigle and Lindsay
Reidenbach, junior Zahra Dawson,
sophomores Jordan Wylie and Kelsey
Grad, and freshman Gabrielle Clark,
Malavika Padmanabhan, and Brenna
Kelly.
Doubles pairings for Emory will be Clark and Dawson, Kelly and
McManigle, Wylie and Padmanabhan, and Grad and Reidenbach.
The tournament, being held at the Lagoon Tennis Center, will
feature NCAA Division I, II and III entrants, in addition to NAIA
schools as well.
