Emory University sophomore Gabrielle Clark was named the University Athletic Association's (UAA) Athlete of the Week for Women's Tennis, after winning both of her singles matches and all three of her doubles contests, all against ranked opponents, last week.

Against 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday, Clark teamed with Zahra Dawson to defeat the Atlantic South Region's fourth-ranked squad by an 8-6 score, and won her singles match 6-1, 6-0 over the region's third-ranked player, helping Emory to a 5-4 win. She also won both of her matches during a 5-4 loss to top-ranked Williams College, earning an 8-5 win in doubles action against the Northeast's fourth-ranked duo, and a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory over the region's sixth-ranked player in her singles match. Clark rounded out her week with an 8-1 doubles victory over the Atlantic South Region's third-ranked squad from third-ranked Washington and Lee, and was leading in her singles match 6-2 before play was stopped with the Eagles having clinched a 5-2 upset win.
